I love the classic yet fresh look of this hot off the press artwork. Our designers managed to invoke the ancient “Sinai” ascetic, while also including a modern typeface. In many ways, this reflects the Ten Commandments themselves. They are ancient, Old Testament principles, but they still apply to us Christians today.
The sermon series guide maps out this 10-week series by interacting with the Commandments themselves, and also including relevant New Testament passages. For example, the charge to honor your father and mother is linked to Paul’s writing in Ephesians 6. In a similar way, “You shall not murder” is fleshed out by Jesus’ words in Mathew 5:21-22.
