Three Track Internship

The UX Design intern will select from one of three tracks: UX Research, Interaction Design, or Information Architecture.

In every track, the intern will work under the guidance and support of the Senior Product Designer. The aim is for the intern to have work experience that can be packaged into a portfolio piece. At the same time, the intern will meaningfully impact the business and product team.

UX Research Track

The UX Research track aims to give the intern the full experience of working as a UX Researcher. In the course of three months, the intern will be responsible for every part of the UX Research lifecycle. The type of research will be decided on in the Planning phase.

• Plan research
• Conduct research
• Report findings
• Archive research

Interaction Design Track

The Interaction Design track aims to give the intern the full experience working as an Interaction Designer. In the course of three months, the intern will have the opportunity to take an improvement from ideation to interactive prototype.

• Ideate divergent concepts
• Use models to explore
• Rapidly prototype
• Get feedback from customers, business stakeholders, and engineering
• Iterate iterate iterate
• Refine till ready for engineering to implement
• If time allows, work with engineering to implement

Information Architecture Track

The Information Architecture track aims to give the intern the full experience of working as an Information Architect. In the course of three months, the intern will have the opportunity to do a variety of Information Architecture projects.

• Content audit
• Content inventory
• Tree test
• Card sort
• Low fidelity wireframing
• Modeling and mapping information spaces
