Hey everyone, I’m Justin Trapp—and this is Ministry Minute.
You’ve probably heard of Logos Bible Software.
But what if I told you one of the most powerful ministry tools in the world… started in a teenager’s bedroom?
With a computer, a little help from his dad—and a big vision to help people study God’s Word.
That teenager was Bob Pritchett.
At just sixteen, while his friends were worried about algebra and after-school plans, Bob was writing code to make Bible study faster, deeper, and more accurate.
He didn’t set out to be a pastor.
He just wanted to solve a problem for people who loved Scripture.
A few years later, Bob left college and landed a dream job at Microsoft.
But that calling—to build something for the Church—never went away.
So in 1992, he did something bold.
He walked away from corporate success… and launched Logos Bible Software.
Three decades later, Logos is used by millions of pastors, professors, and believers around the world.
But here’s the part that inspires me most:
Bob wasn’t a preacher or theologian—he was a builder.
He saw his skills not as separate from ministry, but as his ministry.
Business and Bible. Engineering and exegesis.
All working together to help people love and live God’s Word.
So here’s the question:
What if the thing you’re best at—the thing that feels outside of ministry—is exactly what God wants to use inside it?
You don’t have to stand on a stage to make an impact.
You just have to build what God’s put in your hands.
I’m Justin Trapp—and this has been your Ministry Minute.
