Hey pastor, did you know the man who helped build Blockbuster and Boston Market is now investing millions to equip churches?
His name is Scott Beck. He’s a business mogul who could’ve retired comfortably — but instead, he chose a different path.
After decades of building some of America’s biggest brands, Scott started asking a deeper question:
“What if the greatest impact of my life isn’t building companies… but building God’s Kingdom?”
I’m Justin Trapp, and this is Ministry Minute.
The Rise of Gloo and “He Gets Us”
Scott co-founded a faith-tech company called Gloo — a platform designed to help pastors understand and connect with their communities, and help people flourish in every area of life.
He’s also played a key role behind the scenes in major faith campaigns like He Gets Us — the national TV movement introducing millions to the real Jesus.
And he didn’t stop there. Last year, Gloo raised over $100 million to fund faith ventures and develop technology that strengthens the Church.
Leading the AI Movement Responsibly
Now Scott’s leading a movement to bring AI into ministry — responsibly.
Not to replace pastors, but to equip them — helping leaders see hidden needs, measure spiritual health, and care more personally than ever before.
He even brought on former Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger to help build technology that advances the gospel and equips the Church.
Scott often says, “God isn’t surprised by AI.”
He believes technology can be redeemed — and used to advance the gospel.
The Future of Ministry
And if you asked him, he’d probably tell you this:
The future of ministry isn’t about keeping up with technology. It’s about leading it — so the tools of tomorrow serve the mission of today.
