Reformation
Reformation celebrates the 500-year anniversary of Martin Luther’s posting of the Ninety-five Theses (October 31, 1517) on the church door in Wittenberg, Germany. Each week of this five-week series highlights a different theme that emerged from the resulting Protestant Reformation. The Five Solas (Sola Scriptura, Sola Gratia, Sola Fide, Sola Christus, and Soli Deo Gloria) work together to emphasize the importance of God’s grace as the foundation of our right relationship with Him, directly confronting the corrupted medieval theology of the time. Beginning with the solidarity of Scripture, this series discusses the question of faith versus works, the finished ministry of Christ, the priesthood of all believers, and the ultimate goal of God’s glory.
