Have you ever experienced seasons when God just seems to be silent and aloof? We all have. And the people in your congregation are no different. Many of them are experiencing that feeling right now. And that’s why we believe our sermon series, Silence, can be so powerful.
This four-week series addresses seasons when God seems silent or far away. What are Christians supposed to do during a dark night of the soul? When Christians feel far from God, we can survive periods of God’s silence by remembering his faithfulness in the past, relying on Jesus’s example, repenting for any sin that could be causing our separation, and rejoicing by faith in God’s promise to draw near to those who draw near to him.
There’s no way around it, we will, at times and from our perspective, feel like God is far off. But we don’t have to trust our perspective.
Imagine how strong your congregation would be if they were encouraging each other in periods of perceived silence or aloofness by God? Our small group questions will open the door to those experiences to begin.
Additionally, the Silence sermon series includes a full preaching guide, promotional and presentation graphics, and more. Help your congregation when they feel far from God. Many of them are feeling it whether they admit it or not.
