Humility. Wisdom. Servanthood. Imagine if more people were characterized by those qualities. In a time when social media is at its peak, self-centeredness is common across all ages. That, combined with all the challenges students face can create a recipe for a perpetual focus on oneself. But that’s not the way of Jesus.
Jesus calls all His followers to walk in humility and to serve others. This is why we’re excited about our new youth sermon series, Low-Key: Living Life for Someone Greater, we are diving into the topic of humility from multiple angles.
This four-week series for students looks at the importance of remaining humble and striving to serve others in order to bring glory to God. When we look to Christ, rather than simply attempting to gobble up more attention for ourselves, we make more room to love him and others.
When we get our focus off of ourselves and onto someone else, we begin to step into the good things God has planned for us to do. Imagine how much of a gamechanger it can be for a student to see their daily servanthood as a part of the grand story of what God is doing in the world.
This sermon series comes with everything you need to spread the word about it before it begins. You’ll have the full series guide that will give you teaching points, illustration ideas, and Scripture references to make every message count. And you’ll get small group discussion guides to help your students take action each week.
