Following those who don’t know what they’re doing can have frustrating consequences. In the Austin Powers movies, Dr. Evil is built up as the big bad, but his schemes are easily foiled because of his ineptitude (for example, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, directed by Jay Roach, Warner Bros., 1997). This also results in some of his henchmen being hurt or killed throughout the process.
