No Costumes Allowed
We are constantly tempted to put on “costumes”—facades and performances that make us seem successful, flawless, and strong. Even inside the church, we often walk around with our “church costume” on—a performance of spiritual perfection that masks over our weaknesses, sins, and difficulties. Instead of trading one costume for another, this four-week community sermon series shows how our honesty builds our community, our vulnerability makes us stronger, how some of our weaknesses can even glorify God. Without our costumes on, we can love and encourage each other in much more powerful ways.
