Power Of Trust

Young children often seem to be fearless. They jump off couches or out of trees without hesitation. They believe they can run faster than a moving car or throw a rock into outer space. As children grow up, however, real-life risks become more and more clear. The more they fail, the more hesitant they are to trust. Obviously, the child who has fallen out of a tree and broken his arm may be hesitant to climb the tree again. But the child’s confidence resurfaces when someone stronger comes and helps them. The simple act of being present creates a level of trust that may have been weakened before. The same is true when we consider the power of God being near.
