In the movie Hook (directed by Steven Spielberg, Amblin Entertainment, 1991), an adult Peter Pan returns to Neverland to save his children from a long-forgotten enemy. With the help of Tinkerbell and the Lost Boys, Peter must reclaim his magical powers in order to defeat his old nemesis and rescue his kids. Forgetting his former glory and questioning his ability, Peter needs reassurance from his friends. Like Peter, we often need reassurance as well. God knows this, and he is faithful to provide us with the encouragement that we need at just the right time.
