The early church was a place of excitement as the Holy Spirit grew new believers in faith. It was also a place where men and women of vastly different backgrounds and experiences endeavored to live together as a household of God. It wasn’t easy then, and it still isn’t easy today. With lessons learned in four of the first churches established by the apostle Paul, this series touches on mutual encouragement, the mentoring of new believers, disappointment in the church, and divisiveness. It helps us find ways to stay committed to our church and community.
